LONDON – A British man who used the drug Cialis to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in a South Asian man has been charged with the crime of introducing a misbranded drug into interstate commerce.
A man was arrested at the scene of an operation involving the use of the erectile dysfunction drug Cialis in the South Asian country of Taiwan, police said.
He faces a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison, and a fine of up to €10,000 after he pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to introducing the misbranded drug into the US.
The police said the man was acting on instructions of the police. He was given a five-day jail term after he was caught with a plastic syringe in his hand.
